It had been raining for the past day without stopping and as soon as it had stopped, she headed out to hunt. Everything was soaked through, including Foxpatch. Leafbare's cold grip still lingered in the air and made it hard for her to stop shivering. She was shaking, not as violently as she had been earlier, but she enough for it to throw her off her game. She had only managed a small bird, which was almost as waterlogged as she was. She really hated rain.
Foxpatch stumble along, damp, and her legs covered in mud. Despite the circumstances, she was actually quite happy. She had not been out of camp since the rain began, and was relieved to have some freedom. She was sure that her clanmates had just about enough of her whining and complaining as well.
She stopped, feeling her stamina drained. It was one of the only things that she disliked about herself. Foxpatch was lacking in size, to say the least. She was weak and never could catch up with her siblings and other apprentices. She made it to warriorhood though, by the skin of her teeth.
Foxpatch didn't have the size, but she made up for it in her determination.
Foxpatch stopped in a place that wasn't so muddy, and sat down, feeling the cold and wet taking its toll. Her good mood was gone. She was still shivering and tired from her futile searching for prey. Things would be easier for her in a few days, when it wouldn't be as wet or cold. She dropped the bird she had caught earlier.
"Well isn't this fun." She huffed, no lack of sarcasm in her voice.
